-Can I repost your art?
In a nutshell, unless you are the person/persons who commissioned me for a specific piece or your character(s) are involved, I would mostly prefer that you not share my pieces elsewhere, even if credit would be given. As flattered as I am, I do prefer when I’m the one responsible for where my images originally end up. :)
-What art program(s) do you use?
I use Paint Tool SAI for all my digital drawing, from sketch to finished product! I also try to dabble with Procreate on the iPad on occasion (and would still like to try Photoshop one day)!
-What drawing tablet/tools do you use?
Cintiq 22HD Pen tablet is my main setup! Otherwise, I like to scribble on my iPad Pro here and there.
-How long does it typically take you to make a drawing?
It all depends on the complexity, is best I could summarize!
-How old are you?
20! *coughs dust*
-When is your birthday?
I usually prefer not to say it, as I don’t consider it that important. But, whenever it does happen to fall, I usually will say thank yous and such, so not completely hidden if you look hard enough elsewhere. :)
-Could I make an art request?
I know I used to respond to asks with scribbles, and trust me when I say that even among the certain things in the past that occurred, I did greatly enjoy it! But, given that art is more of how I make my primary income now over somewhat more “partially”, when I was still in school/didn’t quite as much have to worry about paying for myself, I much more prefer to dedicate a lot more of my art time to commissions over as freely with such things. And I even would take art suggestions here and there.
On the rare occasion, if I do happen to be up for it/able, I may, but otherwise for the most part, firmer requests from me are a firm no. My apologies!
-Do you do art trades?
There’s a slightly longer response I could give to this question, but in the end, it’s likely my answer will come to a ‘no’ here. My apologies!
-Do you accept commissions?
Yes! More often than not, I try to remain constantly open!
To check on my status of things, you can visit my website, afoxdraws.com! As well as check general details, prices, etc etc!
Or, even on somewhat frequent occasion as well, my Twitter, should I find myself announcing occasional breaks I may take!
-“How long have you been drawing?”, “Did/do you go to an art school?”, “Do you work for a known cartoon company?”, etc etc?
I know I’ve gotten certain variations of such questions when I was younger (it’s kind of surreal to realize I’m not actually under 18 anymore, haha), but the answer even today still remains for the most part! I, somewhat unfortunately, so not attend art college, or any college at all at this time, mostly due to lack of money (and not at all wanting to worry about loans/debt/etc when I barely even know how taxes work yet). Even though I did technically get accepted to Ringling, I did not want to take the chance.
I don’t work for Disney, or Nickelodeon, or CN or anything! (Even though I still kinda wish I did!) I’ve maybe gotten sparse potential opportunity here and there in the past, but nothing ever came of things and it’s potential. I’ve always simply done freelance.
And it likely has been considerably longer, but for as far as I can recall, I more seriously got into drawing and trying to become an artist since March of 2010 (when I was 12 years old)! Miraculously been at it ever since. :)
-Do you have any tips/advice on drawing/starting out in art/how you draw arms, hands, feet/etc.?
Frankly, it may be the “general” response you’re likely to start continuoisly hearing when you ask any other artist this question. Constant gesture drawing, studies, mere inspiration gained off of your favorite shows/cartoons, perhaps even other artists, and just practice practice practice. I was not at all good at such things myself when I started, and I still feel like crap with them now. But I only got where I mostly manage to be now “this fast” by keeping at it at least once a day ever since the beginning. :)
-What college/art school would you like to go to?
There have been a few I was looking at for the past few years (Sheridan, SCAD, CalArts, etc.), and Ringling honestly still sounded appealing.
… Buuut honestly, at this point, I feel any sort of college with an art department sounds so appealing. I forget “regular” college can be less than 30k a year, let alone even as low as 6k or so, and maybe one day I’d like to attend “just because” at this point. but for now, I think I’m doing okay.
-Who/What inspires you with your art?
There are many things that inspire me. Anything from Warner Bros has to be my biggest influence, hands down. (I’ve always loved Looney Tunes.) But of course, I do greatly enjoy Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks, Cartoon Network, and pretty much anything else that happens to tickle my fancy!
In terms of people, that list can also go on. (And not just those relating to art.) :)

And that’s that, I believe!
