Hehe, and ‘fraid all I may have to say is the usual 'generic’ answer with most artists; practice practice practice!
I mainly started off drawing art of my favorite cartoon characters and random animals when I was younger. As I grew, I began to find out about many different artists I admired and often gained inspiration from them. I can’t say specifically HOW I managed to develop my own style, interpretation of anatomy, etc. except… I simply perceived it through my own eyes and went for it.
While still tryin’ to develop my style, as well, I often tried to take in tips from other professionals, and even tried to apply their methods of drawing certain body parts to my work. Granted, my ways of drawing them are significantly different now, but it helped to reference and shape them through my own preference. :)
As a plus, some art books also get my drawing hands going! I’ve managed to purchase quite a few “Art of [Disney title here]” books, as well as other books that give lovely tips on methods that professional cartoonists often use to draw. While some said books are unfortunately out of print (Ebay is your friend!), many methods included in them can be found if you look hard enough! Mainly, I take into account of 'lines of action’. GREATLY helped me put more flow into my work. :)
