Arin’s twitter today was fun

jokerpuff asked: Hi Orlando! Do you have a favorite artist of the TV shows?
Hiya!
And can’t say I could ever narrow it down! Partly ‘cause I’m not too well aware of many artists in the industry that may have worked on certain episodes or whatever I’ve happened to adore.
One name that always pops into my head whenever this question gets asked, though, is Sibsy (as many may know her as). She’s worked on Ed, Edd, n Eddy, MLP, and LPS from what I’ve recalled and I really like those. :)
don’t even try to tell me tonight’s episode did not make you think of this

reversalmushroom asked: Why don't you do Patreon? You could just charge $1 with no reward and use it as a tip jar.
I.. technically do, hehe. Specifically for that purpose. ^^; I just don’t really advertise it.
I have been trying to make an effort lately to post an occasional thing there at least once a month if I can remember since it still feels really weird for me to accept the occasional random tip, though.
zambieslaya2016 asked: Hey orlando I know u don't like chipper and nibbles. But can u draw them one last time. Cause ur drawing with them is not that bad. Please me and others would like 2 see that !
I never said that I didn’t like them…?
And I know it’s been.. years now? Since I’ve probably drawn anything FNAF, what with all the dumb art stuff that happened, but I’d still prefer not to touch up on that again. Flattering as it is anyone still happens to remember those two silly creations of mine, I don’t want to deal with the potential trouble it’d bring again.
… Granted, yeah it is all silly fan creation and I guess others get excited, but.. still, no. It’s impressive I was even caught up enough at shipping Chica and Foxy to the point I even did that. :U
Sorry to disappoint, but. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Just me.

ufo-ringo asked: I really want to be a storyboard artist myself but I am I but younger than you..*cough cough like two years* can you give a youngster some pointers on art?
Hehe, I wish you great luck in your endeavors too!
Ironically enough, I still have yet to really put forth more effort in making storyboards, or really trying to tell a ‘story’ through a scene of gestures/drawings. From what I’ve seen though, that’s not necessarily a ‘start’ you have to make when it comes to wanting to be a storyboarder.
Life/gesture drawing especially is the way to start. Before you try to put yourself in a position where you want to tell stories through drawings, you have to work on portraying expression through character poses/postures alone after all. :) Facial expressions too are a way to go as well.
Ironically this is something I’ve been slacking up on lately with my anatomy (observational drawings and all) and I need to work on it, but the lessons I’ve taught myself with doing it initially have helped me in bettering my poses with characters and really conveying emotions (at least I think so).
I want to emphasize too I’m not speaking on behalf of people that happen to be in a storyboard position, since (again) I myself am not one, and I don’t know the process that goes with landing a job as one. But from what I’ve seen, work on conveying expressions and emotions through characters in still images alone as a start. Then work your way up to doing more.
… And of course, as is the typical (but true and crucial) artist tip; practice practice practice!!
