I saw that you mentioned that you adored the Rayman Raving Rabbids games, so I decided to draw you a sketch of a screaming rabbid as a way of saying thanks for being such a sweet and all around wonderful person. I hope that you’ll enjoy it for what it is :D <3! (P.S. I may be a tad too rusty when it comes to drawing rabbids, sorry for possibly screwing up XDD.)

Aww, hehe, this is fantastic!! Yes yes, I can’t help but to love those crazy lil guys! Thank you so much! <3

Anonymous asked: Hey there! I need some advice if you don't mind. So this girl in my school asked me to draw her a couple of her friends right? The thing is she is claiming that SHE drew them and she knows I know but I am too much of a door mat to tell anyone anyways. What should I do? Again I am sorry if this bothers you ; v ;

Heya! And not at all!

I can’t say I’ve (seriously) dealt with this sort of thing myself. But I can say that this could be fairly easy to deal with.

I would really recommend telling those that you have drawn that you were the one who made the pictures, rather than this girl. Show them any of your previous drawing, compare the style/quality, possibly even draw them again just to prove it. This could definitely be easier since it’d be in person.

But, as a (legitimately playful) joke, years ago, I had a friend take a sketch I made and tell folks that they drew it. Yet, ironically enough, those people that were told that immediately said, “Woah, really? Draw something else!”

We quickly cleared that up. :’D

Point in that being, if the friends of those girls happen to want drawings again on the spot, they may soon find out that she wasn’t the actual artist. And if that girl asks you again, do not be afraid to put your foot down and say no. Perhaps say that you’re busy or maybe even taking a break from drawing, but don’t keep that train going if you know that sort of thing is going on.

Others claiming your art right before your eyes can be sometimes be frightening to deal with, much less in person, but it is never okay. Don’t be afraid to defend your talent(s). You deserve your rightful credit.

I do hope this doesn’t escalate anymore than it already has. <3

Anonymous asked: Hey, Orlando. So I'm going to my family's house for Christmas, and I'm really not looking forward to it. They constantly get onto me for my weight and for how i dress and act. I was just wondering if you had a bit of advice to help me get through the holidays.

Heya!

Aye, I’m really sorry to hear such a thing happens to you. Especially from family.

I’m afraid I can’t relate, as I’ve never really dealt with this sort of thing myself, but honestly, I’d think to try and ignore what they say. I do believe in ‘tough love’, and there could be slim possibility that your family is looking out for you and just wants you to have a healthier/somewhat easier lifestyle (so perhaps other people won’t feel a 'need’ to make fun of how you dress.

But regardless of that being (or likely not being the case), you are your own person. As long as your not hurting yourself and you’re living a fairly good lifestyle for yourself, I say just live for yourself!

Wearing outfits that your family may want you to wear could be for good reason, sure, but dress however you wanna dress!

Weight can always be maintained/worked on, yes, but if you feel good and your health’s still in tip-top shape, you’re free to your own body’s mass.

And your actions can, more or less, reflect you as a person. It’s just your personality being shown in a different way. It’s just you. If it’s mainly just your family wanting you to act a certain way and you’re not really hurting anybody, don’t worry about it.

Again, I personally haven’t really dealt with this sort of thing myself from friends, family, or any other person.  But I keep these things in mind myself when I think about how I like to dress, how I try to maintain my weight, and especially how I act ('treat folks how I wouldn’t mind being treated if I was in their shoes).

Just be you, :)

I hope that, in any case, you’ll manage to have a very merry holiday, Anon. <3

cttcarts asked: Wow... do they not realize that they can just unfollow for a little bit while things settle down? It is of dire importance to an artist to know if their art is being used without permission. That kind of dialogue has all right to go to an art blog because guess what... it's probably where people are stealing it from. And if they see you acting against it and standing up for yourself, it could deter them... that anon was really out of place!

*nods* Very fair point!

As a general note, folks: you are not, in any way, obligated to keep following me, especially if my blog turns into something you’re not really into seeing, be it until it blows over or just indefinitely! I do feel that things like art theft (be it of me or others) are fairly appropriate to make post about, though! I very much appreciate it folks let me know of it, so I’d definitely like to acknowledge that I’m am now aware of it. :)

That anon’s point was fairly just in my opinion, though! It can be fairly annoying to some if it’s kind of consistent, especially if you happen to mainly follow that blog for the art itself, rather than what all may be going on with it.

But again, don’t hesitate to kick me off your follow list if it’s a nuisance! Very much appreciate folks that even follow me in the first place, much less perhaps like my art! <3

aknightofchaos replied to your post:Im kind of tired of seeing stuff about art theft…

Rude, anon.

Ah, I wouldn’t say this is really rude! A pretty fair point I would think! True, when I originally made a Tumblr blog, it was with intention of answering/replying to any asks I happen to get along with art, but it’s more than likely that many folks are mainly here for said art.

I really don’t like to constantly make public posts about what I do/don’t condone with my art, much less notify folks about it if it happens to go on, but when folks are set to anon/said theft accounts are really concerning, it’s quite hard to keep it more privately discussed. <:)

Anonymous asked: Im kind of tired of seeing stuff about art theft its all what this blog post now its annoying

I do apologize for that. It is getting fairly annoying for me too, especially as I don’t like to inconvenience you folks and have this stuff appear in your timelines. But I do like to try and deal with this sort of thing, as I definitely don’t condone it (much less appreciate it when it happens to occur with my art).

If mainly here for my art, you can find it under the tag ‘orlandofoxart’ on my blog. But I can’t say that I have been posting very much of that here either (ifonically because of these art incidents.) <:)

Sites I’m actually on!

Just to let folks know, I now have a page that tells of other websites I’m on!

I do need to look back at my Instagram/Youtube for the specific variations of either of my online aliases that I had to use, but if anyone claims that they are ‘OrlandoFox’ and/or 'TheDoggyGal’ on any other site that I didn’t mention, it’s pretty certain that it’s not me. :)

A big thank you to folks who have mentioned to me before about accounts that seem to be a play on of either of my names! Again, they could be of pure coincidence (as it’s not like my alias’s are that unique to think of before), but it is greatly appreciated! <3

(Gosh, I didn’t think I’d really need to make one of these. <XD)

Anonymous asked: Hey, Orlando. I belive I found someone stealing your art? They haven't posted any art yet, but they have the name "OrlandoFoxx"

Ah, are the two ‘X”s intentional?

If so.. probably fair chance that this is the account?

If is is, I.. will have to keep an eye on that account, I’d think. That definitely isn’t me, haha. <XD

(Ah, not meaning to jump to conclusions about it already or anything! Heck, there’s another account on dA that’s just ‘OrlandoFox’! But given the mention of FNAF on their profile, now I can’t help but to be slightly concerned (if that’s the right word). <:) )

Thank you for letting me know! <3

Anonymous asked: I was thinking about taking animation for college using your art style because i think it would look amazing if animated

I’d like to eventually learn animation, if not at least animatics, and try achieve that myself, hehe! But flattered you’d want to see such a thing. :)

Plus, could show more creativity if you happen to persure animation in a style you may develop! Of course, I couldn’t exactly stop you (at very least, would appreciate credit for inspiration), but just a thought. :)

(Plus, it technically has already been done before with sort of 3D rendering of my take on a particular character!)

Anonymous asked: Hey when it eventually does become Christmas you should take a break from drawing! ...Unless you DO wanna draw this Christmas than that's okay!

Aww, hehe, thank you Anon! <3

For sure, if my own drawing hands will allow me, it would be nice to not draw for a lil while, even if concerning around my own personal art ‘projects’! (But even then, that’s not likely. Drawing’s always been a consistent thing for me,I end up doing it daily! :’D)
