where I dump my scribbles

yates170 asked: Hey Orlando? I sent a message a while back asking if you had any tips for snouts of your animals. I don't know if it gotten eaten by the ask box or you just answered it or didn't see it, but I'd like to know if you ever answered it, but if you haven't no rush, because I know you have a lot of questions to answer. c: Thank you!

AH, my deepest apologies! I actually did a few doodles in response to said ask (and quite a few asks I’ve recieved about muzzles/snouts in general), but I suppose it slipped my mind to make a response to any of ‘em! <:X

Honestly, I don’t think I could be of much help here, as how I do muzzles may seem weird to folks, but first things first; referencing off a photo of the species you’re trying to draw is incredibly helpful if you don’t have a good idea of what tthey look like already. Ears, eyes, body, and other features definitely compliment the muzzle. But for the majority of my pictures, I tend to sketch a lil circle (or big, depending on the animal/character) over where the muzzle will be located on the face and draw from it.

Perhaps if can be better seen, here! -

Again, as my beginning says, going off actual animals at first helps you a ton! Like seen with my doodles above, I tend to keep certain things in mind about different species; long, slender snout for foxes, short, stubby ones for bunnies, fairly medium shaped, wider muzzles for dogs, etc.! This all can change drastically, depending on a character and whatever design you may give them!

Drawing them from slightly different angles… a totally different story with me! :’D Don’t think I could quite describe it, other  than saying I just wing at it. <:) Constant practice makes for an easier time with these things as time moves on!

(I’m so sorry if this whole post doesn’t make sense with its words. I’m barely able to stay awake right now but I didn’t want to keep you waiting any longer to have your question anseres!

ask-aqua-marine-pony asked: I love your art, it's gorgeous. But I think if you have one major weakness it's that you're much too nice! I just watched you thank and apologize to the person who removed your watermarks! You should have ripped them a new one!

Hehe, thank you!

I thanked that person for coming forward and telling me why they did what they did and I did apologize for any overly negative comments they may have received, if any. But, I’ll be honest to  say I’m not sorry for bringing more attention to the post and possibly causing some folks to go make mention of my disapproval for it.

I don’t want to be rude in my response, even though I did not approve of them doing that and it does make me quite upset. And I do sincerely appreciate that person coming to me in any form and giving their word on the matter, rather than simply ignore. But I think one or two folks can agree when I say that what they did was wrong, and I definitely don’t apologize for calling out more attention to it. :)

Anonymous asked: Who do you normally use during SSB4? Like, you favorite character?

This guy! <3

Anonymous asked: Hai! Um, I feel kinda shy that I'm even trying to talk to you, your drawings inspire me! :D I was wondering if you could kinda help with my body postures? Your drawings look so cartoony and cool....

Heya!

No need to be shy with me! I’m super shy myself in person, but am insanely flattered you’d want to say something to me (let alone to be an inspiration)! :)

Apologies I can’t do a more current picture that may help explain how I usually draw my bodies (I feel I’ve been having bad art mojo these days cause of sickness, hehe), but this particular post I made a while back still applies to what I do! Hope it can possibly be of help! <3

Anonymous asked: WHY IS EVERYBODY TALKING ABOUT WATER MARKS? PEOPLE AND ORLANDO, I HONESTLY HAVE NO IDEA WHY YOU GUYS ARE TALKING ABOUT THIS! Maybe its just me, but lines and marks don't really change anything in my perspective. But what's the point? Aren't these just an art style? Don't a lot of other people on Tumblr also do water marks? So out of all those other people, why shoot so many hard questions on Orlando? She probably busy doing homework. WHY PEOPLE I'M SO CONFUSED?

Hehe, this is mainly from an earlier instance of someone removing the watermarks from one of my art pieces. They’re pretty much artists’ signatures! I was just mainly mentioning that I don’t approve of that sort of thing being done to my work, more so if it gets posted somewhere.

(And no homework here, haha! Winter break’s upon us! <3)

captaintooniverse-deactivated20 asked: Who is your favorite newcomer in ssb4

I’ve really enjoyed playing Duck Hunt and the Koopalings more and more (specifically Bowser Jr. and Roy)!

I still need to learn how to actually fight successfully with ‘em, but gosh are they fun! <3

Anonymous asked: Hi. I'm the guy who removed the watermarks on that 5N@F fanart you did and I want to clear some things up. Firstly, I didn't do it to "steal" your work. Nor did I do it to provide others with a clean version of your picture. I didn't do it out of spite towards you or your followers. I did it to see if I could remove the watermarks, as a technical exercise. Also because IMO the amount of watermarks was obnoxious and I wanted to take a jab at it. Also just for the laughs. Hope this cleared it up.

Heya.

I didn’t say that you were ‘stealing’ my work. (Any mention I may have made beforehand about removing watermarks and possibility of having your work stolen was being said in general terms, but wasn’t directed at you, as you weren’t taking credit for it or anything like that).

While I’m glad my picture could’ve served as exercise for you, I still didn’t really appreciate that being done. Yes, the amount of watermarks could have been seen as excessive. But they were there for a reason, mainly because of previous events occurring.

It more so got to me a bit because you removed not only the watermarks, but my smaller signature in the upper left hand corner. If you at least kept one of my watermarks/signatures up there, I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have minded as much. But removing all of my forms of art credit did rub off on me the wrong way.

I do thank you coming here and wanting to have your say in this. My apologies if there was any negative things said towards you if folks on 4chan were making mention of it. Wasn’t my intention to cause trouble for anyone, but all the same, I just really don’t appreciate that with any of my art. <:)

Anonymous asked: To The question that you answered [That you will give someone who asks a clearer shot of a image ] I used The Show Must Go On picture as my wallpaper, and to be honest the watermarks are not annoying... but I did have quite the time trying to make a profile picture out of it lol. I took Toy Bonnie out of it and made a pretty Bad*** profile pic...if u want to see it I would be glad to show u XD

Aww, hehe, am flattered by that, thank you!

And happy to hear you think that about them! I did try to make the watermarks noticeable, but not so ‘bright’ over the picture.

If you’d like to, sure! c: (Though it seems fan mail allows folks to send links, rather than asks, hehe!)

Anonymous asked: Completely random question but do you ever think about creating a Koopasona?

Hehe, that thought’s never crossed my mind! As much as I love Koopas (Bowser is my favorite Mario character), I’m not that committed to it!

Plus, I already have, like, two personal characters for two different fandoms! That’s more than enough for me in my book! :’D

ER, NO, scratch that! Technically three! I kinda almost forgot about pony fandom. :’D
