I’m fairly certain that one scene with Steven telling the gems what was happening with the shirts was also referring to artists that get their work used in ways they don’t approve of and I really appreciate that. 8D
Heya! Aww, haha, that’s too awesome! Always in favor of others also getting into art at younger ages! C:
I don’t think I could say anything different from what I’ve told others that have asked me questions similar to this before; just draw!
Even if you feel it’s not a ‘good’ art day for you, draw something, anything that comes to mind. Especially whenever (heaven forbid) you feel unmotivated! Sometimes you come across an idea that may spark something in you to keep arting away, thus you get your mojo back!
And trust me, I know it may sound frustrating, ‘cause it can be. I’ve definitely been down that road before… heck, I still am sometimes! It’s probably silly (or crazy, one of the two), but for the past several weeks or so, I picked up the habit of immediately worrying about how ‘good’ my art may be on that particular day. If I feel ‘aw man, I could doodle a bunch today!’, I tend to stay mellow and start the day.
But if I feel something’s… ‘wrong’, I get extremely anxious and nervous right before I pick up a pencil and grab the nearest bit of paper I can draw/scribble on. If I find whatever comes out of it to be half decent or, for what it’s worth, pretty alright, I just pass it off and go about my day! If I think it’s awful, as I typically do on days where I can wake up and immediately feel ‘off’, then I’m just on art mode from minute one and I try to get my mojo back all throughout the day.
Getting lots of sleep and resting yourself in general can also help you to get motivated and feel you have better art days!… Two things of which I’ve been horrible at lately, but hey, still hasn’t stopped me so far!! :)
But yeah! So many tips/bits of advice could be said on how to draw (in terms of how to get motivated)! But what I do is just draw whatever comes to mind! More than likely, I’m bound to get on a roll and keep myself drawing continuously!
I hope motivation/a good art day comes to you soon! <3
I’ve heard of the show, but I have no clue what it is!
Heya! (Hehe, and not a bother at all!)
When it comes to actual sketchbooks, I usually have Strathmore branded ones! (The type of Strathmore book can vary, as it depends on what media you’d like to use on those pages! But the ‘Mixed Media’ is usually the best route to go if you’re like me and you like to use pen, colored pencils, and even paint on your doodles sometimes, without worrying about any smudges!)
But any other time, I’m just as likely to draw on regular sheets of printer paper, cardboard; pretty much any free ‘canvas’! :D
(And gosh, thank you so much, hehe! Insanely flattering! <3)
Hiya!
I.. can’t really recall actually! I’m fairly certain I may have had a moment or two somewhere along the road where I was really dissatisfied with my work fairly often, especially on my ‘bad drawing days’. Heck, I’m sure every artist does at some point!
But you never get better or improve unless you keep at it and practice, so I did just that! :)
Oh no apologies necessary, haha! If anything, I’m humored you happen to have that thought! (And I’m happy that idea was visually portrayed a few times before!)
