Aye, that’s definitely a struggling position to be in. I can’t say I recall ever being in that same particular position, but I do recall being dissatisfied with a piece upon completion and feeling the exact same way upon posting, perhaps even being a bit disappointed with myself and thinking, “Wow, you could’ve done better.”

And it’s okay to feel like that. Honestly, that sort of thing can actually help you see what flaws your work possibly contains, if not at least tells you what you can focus/improve upon! At least, that’s what I can to realize after some time!

I’m not sure if this could serve as a good tip (and I apologize if it just doesn’t), but really, just keep drawing. Continue to try and see the flaws you feel you make in your pieces that aren’t that good to show to anyone else. That will let you know where to direct your focus towards (sometimes even subconsciously). More so, don’t be afraid to post, even if you’re not satisfied! There’s likelihood that someone else could see it and make comment on it, perhaps one that could boost your confidence, if not even offer a tip or two!

It’s all part of the process of improving, though! Not every artist is satisfied with their work under any/all conditions at first (or even when they may imrpove their skills greatly). But just keep at it and try to keep that confidence, and you’ll find yourself being just as happy posting your work as you are making it.

It wasn’t until late last year I found myself able to come back to something I submited somewhere and I still found myself pleased enough with it. :)
