Do people who just take your art and edit out the watermark not know your art is licensed by a Creative Commons one? Because I'm curious to what could happen if they continued on and monetized your art.

… I’m not aware of anymore folks removing my signature from my art (and certainly hope that’s not a thing), but I feel that’s the case. Granted, I decided to license my work as such maybe… a month or two ago? And I haven’t really made a big ‘announcement’ about it, but regardless, it is on my profiles.

People tend to find this images randomly through image searches, apparently. :X

And I feel I’m still not fully knowledge on the license, but I believe legal action, if not at least hefty consequence, could be taken place if someone tried to do something with my work in a way that does not follow my license.

Which, in this case, I have set under CC BY-NC-ND 3.0 US.

Yes, I’m perfectly fine with folks sharing my stuff around, showing it to others, and so on. I even go so far as to say that as long as it’s not the personal characters (or, OCs, if you prefer) of anyone (be it myself or others), you can use it as an avatar/icon or something on a website.

However, I would sincerely appreciate it of folks always credited properly. I really do not approve of anyone trying to make a profit off of my work. (This, I’m pretty sure I would never give permission for.) And if you really would like to reference heavily off of a drawing I made, I would definitely appreciate being credited back to, and more so to the photo you reference off of. And you don’t intend to profit off of that recreation, given it was direct reference off of an original work by me.

Just.. a lot of technical stuff! Again, I haven’t made a bit announcement about it, but mainly 'cause I figured if folks would see it, they’d perhaps consider what this means about my work before reposting. But.. ah, at this point, not much I can do about it. I still go by my license whole-heartedly (especially with being asked for permission on certain terms), but as long as folks are not trying to make profit off of something I originally created, nor are they passing off anything I’ve originally created (art and/or character wise), I suppose I can’t really complain. <:X
