where I dump my scribbles
Hello, I'm wondering what it's like to be a storyboard artist (I know there's been questions like this but I'm young and have been striving towards doing art with my life) so could you explain what you do and stuff and also like is storyboard and animation two different things? Sorry for the interruption of your day I'm just curious.

Hey!
“Animation” is an art form that is made up of a bunch of different art forms, so it can be easy to get confused. It’s kind of like the word “food” haha. There’s many steps that go into making some food. Storyboarding is kind of like a “recipe”. This is the stage where the story gets figured out, and drawings are done to highlight each of the important moments in the story. There’s also a step called Design, that’s kind of like the “ingredients”. This is where the look of the final product is figured out: character designs, colors, backgrounds etc. Then comes the act of Animating, which is the creation of frame by frame sequences of images to create motion. This is like the act of “cooking”, following the recipe and using the ingredients, and finally you end up with some “food” or some finished Animation. Hope that helps! Good luck!

I really appreciate the extra insight on this. :)
