Heya!

Hey, that sounds like a lovely idea! I’d say go for it if you’d really like to start it up! It can be a bit scary and cause some doubt to start up any blog, but you never know what could happen until you try it!

There always is that bit of chance that someone out there may not like what you do. But that doesn’t mean no one will like it! I mainly started a Tumblr a looong while back just to have an extra place to share my art (as I was already on a few art websites beforehand), so I didn’t really have that fear creating this blog.

It does take time for anyone to gain followers, watchers, or anything on any website, do keep that in mind! But if you’re determined and keep at it, no doubt some folks will notice you, and share your blog around! 

I have faith in you! You’ll get the confidence soon, I’m sure! <3

I apologize if I tend to clog up anyone’s timeline (let alone, my own blog) with asks of any kind! I just feel that if they’re art related or questions that multiple folks happen to ask me, would be beneficial to answer (publicly). :)

I’ll try to see if I can maintain these asks in a more organized fashion, but I’m terrible at efficiently running multiple blogs, so I think I’ll just keep with answering these asks alongside art/any other sort of posts here. I feel having anonymous asks enabled can be necessary for folks if they genuinely feel shy to ask a question/say something, so I think to keep them on! There’s also the case of those that don’t have a Tumblr account but still may want to tell me something! (Though I do agree,  being on an account does help, folks! It does help to be able to answer things privately if they’ve been asked before/you want a response only directed to you.) :)

But my apologies if the anon asks in particular seem to get annoying to you (or anyone else)! More so since you’re also set on anon and I don’t want to skip over this question. :)

(It is extra reason why I tend to tag my posts as ‘orlandoasks’, assuming you’re able to put a cap on those kind of posts! I also do tag my art posts as ‘orlandofoxart’, in case folks only want to find that stuff from me!)

Things like my age, state I live in, and even my birthday (mainly cause of friends, but all in love) is already information that’s been publicly shared/seen beforehand, so I’m not as hesitant to answer those questions. :)

More personal information, like specific city, Skype, etc., I’m definitely MUCH more discreet about and I don’t share with just anyone. Hehe, whatever I happen to answer to folks here about myself is stuff I’m sure I wouldn’t regret saying publicly! But I act online as I do in person: generally keep to myself and be discreet. :)

Pics of those two are still being idly worked on! I just have a mix of things I’ve been working on, it all tends to get jumbled!

Plus I seemed to be going on a slight FreddyxBonnie spree, thought I’d slow down and take a biiit of a break with it! 

I’m still very unsure of why she does this myself! It just seems that as soon as she leaves the main stage, New Chica’s beak always comes off, no explanation!

Maybe she knows she’s on a mission to scare the pants off the night guard! Gotta show off that smile and those pupils!

Yep yep! I’m a junior! 

I’m fine with any sort of request things I get! 

It does tend to pile up on me and I do think I get myself kinda stressed over trying to get SOME done, but again, I have no problem with ‘em. :)

I don’t think I take too much focus on the fact that the animatronics are… well, animatronic when drawing them! ^^;

I pretty much draw them as I normally would any character! But knowing your anatomy (particularly with how your bones move/where some start and connect alongside others) is crucial! I shouldn’t be one to talk, as I haven’t properly studies anatomy myself, but the difference/significant things I do are:

- Replace the neck with the showing neck of an endoskeleton.

-Sort of ‘divide’ the chest/area above the bottom of the ribcage from the bottom half and show some endoskeleton.

-Wherever the legs tend to start alongside the pelvis, I thicken the lines (to show where further division would be).

-Draw a circular bolt/nut where the knee would be (as that is pretty much the knee of an endoskeleton) and draw a line around the rest of that area on the leg.

-Draw line through the ankles and around the top of where the toes would start.

-Instead of connecting the ear to the very head of an animatronic, make a slight gap of space between it and give it some endoskeleton to make the ears attached.

-Place bolts around the edge of the jaw/underneath the edge of the muzzle (as this is how animatronics would be able to loosely move their mouths up and down).

-Make lines go around the arms at the bottom of the shoulders/top of where the shoulders meet with the top half of the body, elbows, and wrists. (Placing a ball-shaped nut on the elbow tends to vary with me, depending on if it’s bent or not and how much space I happen to place between the top and bottom half of an arm.)

-Draw thick lines around the start of the fingers (where they’re attached to the hand. And draw one line through the thumb and the rest with two lines, to represent the individual bones in each finger. (Bending your own fingers and studying how they significantly bend can also help you know where to put these lines!)

Heck, bending/feeling around certain parts of your body can help give a sense of how to draw animatronic characters! Of course each one if significant/special in their own way and all methods vary (difference in shape of the head, how sunken in you may want the eyes, tails, scales, etc.), but it’s all about the anatomy! :)

Foxy and Mangle are how I go about this! Mangle especially, at least with the parts of her body that aren’t her neck! That, I tend to goof off with and make it more flexible and (obviously) longer than is probably should be. :’D
