where I dump my scribbles
I think someone is stealing your art or posing as you again? (Sorry, I don't wanna ruin your day with the art theft thing) But there is a user called_orlando_fox_ on instagram. They havent posted anything, and by the looks of it, they just started there instagram account. Possibly the other poser moving?

(Not ruining at all! Again folks, I do appreciate anyone taking time out of their precious days to want to inform me about this. It really does help. <:) )

Are you referring to this account?

This actually does seem like a fan page of some sort, given the description and few photos they’re posted now informing of the name. Granted, it could be confusion by the account’s name choice/lack of a link of some kind, but I’m fairly certain this isn’t an attempt at impersonation. And.. I’m flattered that this seems to be a thing. I still don’t see my artwork as appealing as some folks have told me it is, but thank you guys. :)

And thank you for letting me know about this! <3

yamavu replied to your photo:Ah… just a fair warning, folks, this account on…

You do the fair warning, so people won’t mistake this account for you. But if it’s just reposting stuff, I don’t really see the harm (it would be nicer though if the account was labeled “Art of OrlandoFox”). If things go wonky, you can still report him to the Instagramm staff at least for Copyright violation.

*nods* Indeed! Honestly, if this was just a blank profile reposting my work without any sort of credit, I’m sure I would’ve made mention of it, but attempted to message them asking to properly credit/link back to sources of the images they were posting.

However, given the profile gives off a strong feeling of passing off as me (mainly including the works “it’s me” in the profile description), and my name is spelled out with each of the letters in parenthesis, this strongly comes off as them attempting to impersonate. And that does not sit well with me at all. <:)

I have reported the page a while before I saw this reply, but I do appreciate you sharing your thoughts on this as well, Yamavu! Thank you!

How do you feel on people making explicit pictures of FNAF characters?....

*shrugs* I personally don’t mind it! Art is art! Plus, would be fairly hypocritical of me to think negatively towards in, considering I’ve made a few FNAF pieces before that come off as slightly mature to some.

(Though even then, I don’t mean for them to seem like it’s about to lead into intimacy. As far as I tend to go in that category is kissing. But, folks think of it as they will!)

And of course, I can’t speak for everyone on this matter. But if I ever happen to come across it, I don’t think negatively of it. Artistic freedom and all that!

(I would hope, however, that no one has tried to forward any of it to Scott. Obviously I couldn’t speak for him, but I would assume he wouldn’t necessarily want to see that sort of thing. :’D)

Ah… just a fair warning, folks, this account on Instagram is not me.

Though, I’m honestly not sure how to feel about this? Just… given they’re using my character/character name, this honestly makes me uncomfortable, especially if someone gets the impression that this is me.

I think I would better appreciate if this weren’t a thing, but.. ugh, I’m really about done with all of this. <:x></:x>

*tries to keep brash/rude statements to a minimum* Guys…really? Thats just flat out rude. Stop trying to be someone you’re not just to get attention. It makes you look stupid. Just stop. All -the real- Orlando wants to do is draw art cause thats what she likes to. This just shows that whoever creates these copy accounts is prone to getting arrested for identity theft in their future. Just…UGH! Stop pestering these artists. Please!

Again, forgive me Orla for always being so bold when stuff like this happens. I just get uber defensive when folks do disrespectful crap to my friends. ^^;

Oh no apologies necessary, Clawy! If anything, it does make me pretty frustrated when this sort of thing happens to friends, much less anyone.

Honestly, if this account just came off as something that was reposting my art to share it, and even properly credited where each piece came from (as there are a few in there that I didn’t even draw/finish off. That including the avatar, which was made by the wonderful artist Tairu Panda, and made as a commission.)

But just right off the bat, the description of the profile includes ‘It’s me’, and that does not bode well with me. And if anyone got the impression that this was me, I really don’t want them to be fooled in case this person says something that I would not say. <:X

Really, guys, this is not a thing that you do to anyone. Not only is it disrespectful, but just plain uncomfortable that you try to pass yourself off as someone else.

Again, thank you Clawy. <3

Heh, I had a feeling that’s what that does. <:)

Only reason I actually even found out about this account was that they had followed me. The fact they were using my alias and a picture of my character already told me something wasn’t right, and… yeah.

No apologies necessary, Seg’! You’re not to blame! And this unfortunately happens to many artists- heck, many folks in general. All we can do is try to resolve them. :)

And gosh, you don’t have to do that! I wouldn’t want folks to feel like they 'have’ to do things for me when things like this happen. <:)

By all means, not saying you can’t! Feel more than free to, if you’d like! But it’s not an obligation to me. I do appreciate the thought in any case, thank yo so much. <3

I had to show you my OC’s! use meh OC’s if you want, do ENYTHING with them! oh and happy new year :3

Aww, hehe, these guys are adorable! Wonderful stuff!

Aww, hehe, these guys are adorable! Wonderful stuff! <3 Happy New Year to you as well!!

(Aah, this submission thing is ridiculous at times! Someone by the name of ‘Christina’ submitted this to me! In any case, lookin’ good!!)

(Haha, I happened to get these two questions back to back, hope ya’ll don’t mind me answering this collectively in a text post!)

Honestly, in terms of my most ‘favorite’ art piece that I’ve done, I can’t really say. Only recently have I even began to feel more proud of my work more commonly, so I don’t think I could necessarily have a favorite.

If I had to pick something, though, I still find myself fairly happy with the Game Grumps/Starbomb pieces I posted a long while ago. And mainly because I’m pretty sure some of the folks they were technically for actually saw them. (More so Kevin and Barry on the first piece, and I actually received a reply back on Twitter from the Starbomb account!)

Pretty silly things to feel happy about, I’m sure, but.. I can’t help it. ^^;

There have been many doodles/sketches I’ve done this year that I’m really happy about, as well, so perhaps I could say that!

As for what my best piece of 2014 may have been? I don’t think I could determine that. Many different folks have different opinions! And, again, I’ve done quite a few things that I’m fairly proud of.

I can say, though, I feel my more 'successful’ pieces have been FNAF works I’ve done for Mando’s songs. I really did them as I was just excited at the thought of a Five Nights song from him, was very honored he’d even ask me for art things, and overall it’d be fun! And in the process, it seems it brought quite a bit of attention to both of us for our crafts (his music/voice and my art). It’s still pretty… “woah” to me.

(Though as much as I really want to say doing art for the FNAF fandom has been a joy, it also harbored many folks that would trace/steal/repost many artists works, and that really hasn’t been pleasant to see, much less be a part of. ^^;)

But 2014 was a major turn-point in art from me! I’ve found more confidence in it, maybe I’ll actually find myself with a favorite piece next year, who knows! In any case, I greatly look forward to drawing more in 2015! <3

What cons do you attend to and if you go to any con do you sell artwork there?

Hehe, whenever I attend cons, I can say for certain that I never plan to sell at them. At least, given I’ve mainly attended furcons, I much rather prefer to spend my time suiting than stuck behind a table. <:)

Only cons I’m planning to attend this year are Megaplex and Midwest Furfest!

Past those… I’m not sure! I’d actually really like to attend BronyCon in 2016 and SDCC/MAGFest one year in general. Lot of cons in mind, if ever able! <3

I reeeeeaaaally don't want to be a bother and ruin your day, but there's an Instagram account which is tracing your work. Their username is @_nightfury_1231_. Also, my depression is getting better, thanks to you :3

Not a bother at all!

Honestly, from looking at the few pieces of mine that seem to be on this account, I don’t find this to be tracing. Just heavily/directly referencing. More so especially since this person appears to include the original photos next to these sketches of theirs. There are some significant differences here, and they definitely don’t come off as mere tracing to me.

And more so, if not including credits, I do appreciate them showing what they were referencing, at the very least.

And it also seems that more folks were aware of this prior to me and this person’s deleted some of these posts? If it was the case where they were directly tracing my work/passing it off as their own, yes, I do appreciate that, folks, thank you! But if it really is the case where they were just referencing off my pieces, I really don’t mind that. If anything, all I would’ve asked for was appropriate credit. <:)

But thank you for letting me know! And I’m really happy to hear I could’ve helped out with that in any way. I do hope it gets even better for you, Rose! <3

//I wrote a couple chapters of a story I posted on my other account that I use. And someone stole it and continues to say that they are the ones who wrote it. It's been a year and people belive that person over me//

ask-female-freddy-fazbear:

orlandofox:

Aye, that’s never a fun situation, especially if it’s been over such a long period of time. <: x you wouldn happen to have the original page in which it was posted would if so i assume a much earlier time stamp is had and find that be pretty helpful solid evidence defending your story. more person hasn tried continue said story with anymore chapters of their own yet. plus writers all seem style telling grammar some cases hehe flow kind off they add like an extra bit fair point me. from what seen usually scrap idea may originally mind start anew rather than suddenly change middle it. do hope something occurs things go favor good though></:>

//I mean.. when I saw it the first time, I’ll admit that I was honestly very upset about it. But I asked politely if they could give it back but they were rude and refused//

And rightfully so! That’s really not a good thing to do, let alone experience, at all. Copying can be the best form of flattery, but it’s even worse to actually do.

Honestly, again, I would still try to report them, especially if it’s been going on this long. And having folks that maybe wouldn’t mind doing just that as well can really do wonders. Just, again, you will need strong solid evidence! (Timestamps of original postings, perhaps screencaps of your direct discussions with them, etc.)

At least, I would assume that sort of thing would help!

How do you blend colors? Is there a tool and any tips for the right color for shading? Thanks :)

Hehe, there’s a default tool in Paint Tool SAI (assuming you happen to use that) called ‘Water Color’ that I often use!

And these are my usual settings for it!

image

(Though, I do often mess with the density, depending on just the right consistency of blend I may need!)

And in terms of colors for shading, I’d say it depends on the mood of the picture! If there’s a more sad, dull scenario taking place, being somewhere in the blues at a slightly more gray hue could do! If more vibrant and happy, reds/oranges/yellows could do!

It also depends on the environment at well (day, night, raining, sunny; that sort of thing)! It also doesn’t help to experiment! (I’ve even seen people give tips that using a color that’s opposite of a character’s overall color can give interesting contract! Like, an overall character with blue shading/lighting, a pink with green, etc.) :)

It’s usually just fun to mess around with your settings and see what happens to work best with your shading methods! At least in my book! <3
